Un nombre croissant de matchs suspects se déroulent en Asie ; les matchs suspects impliquant des jeunes sont en hausse

LONDRES, 1er février 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Un total de 144 matchs de football joués dans le monde en 2022 ont été jugés suspects par Starlizard Integrity Services (SIS). Cela représente une augmentation marginale par rapport aux 140 matchs suspects repérés par SIS en 2021.

Il est à noter que le nombre de matchs suspects a augmenté en Asie, où 46 matchs suspects (32 %) ont été repérés, comparativement à 31 matchs (22 %) en 2021 et à 13 matchs (9 %) en 2020. En Europe, 51 matchs suspects (35 %) ont été repérés en 2022, en baisse par rapport à 70 (50 %) l’année précédente.

Le nombre de matchs de football suspects impliquant des jeunes a augmenté de façon marquée. Alors qu’un seul match suspect impliquant des jeunes a été repéré en 2021, leur nombre est passé à 10 en 2022.

Parmi les 144 matchs de football suspects repérés en 2022, 48 (33 %) ont eu lieu dans les compétitions nationales de haut niveau de différents pays. L’année a également montré une augmentation du nombre de matchs suspects dans les compétitions nationales de deuxième niveau et en dessous, avec 61 matchs (42 %) repérés, en hausse par rapport aux 43 matchs (31 %) de 2021.  

Les correspondances analysées par le SIS sont classées comme « suspectes » lorsqu’elles sont associées à des schémas de paris suspects qui peuvent être révélateurs d’un truquage. Bien que le niveau de soupçon varie selon les matchs en fonction de la nature et de la quantité de preuves découvertes, SIS pense que tous les matchs ainsi repérés justifieraient une enquête plus approfondie.

Les 144 matchs jugés suspects en 2022 représentent 0,39 % d’un total de 37 354 matchs de football analysés par SIS pendant cette période de douze mois, comparativement à 0,32 % des 43 749 matchs de football analysés en 2021.

Les données de SIS ont également révélé que :

  • Les 144 matchs suspects ont été disputés dans 33 pays différents.
  • 27 des matchs (19 %) étaient des matchs « internationaux » – c’est-à-dire des matchs qui ne relèvent pas d’un pays spécifique dans l’une des régions confédérées prescrites, comme toutes les rencontres internationales, les compétitions transfrontalières entre clubs et tous les matchs amicaux entre clubs.
  • 13 des matchs (9 %) étaient des matchs amicaux non compétitifs (7 amitiés internationales et 6 amitiés club).
