Incubée à la Technopole de l’Aube en Champagne, la startup H’ability exploite la réalité virtuelle pour aider les patients en phase de rééducation et de réadaptation fonctionnelle, et ce quelle que soit leur pathologie. Compacte, légère et ultra-portable, cette solution logicielle immersive 100% Made in France est reliée à un équipement professionnel très facile à porter, développée pour accompagner les personnes dans leur parcours rééducatif et leur permettre de regagner en autonomie.

La VR au service de la rééducation des troubles moteurs et/ou cognitifs
Lancée en 2021 par Marie-Odile Mckeeney et Bérengère Henrion, H’ability développe des jeux de réalité virtuelle spécialement conçus pour la rééducation motrice et/ou cognitive suite aux séquelles causées par un AVC, un traumatisme crânien ou tout autre pathologie. Ce processus étant long et compliqué, son but est de plonger le patient dans un univers ludique au sein duquel il devient le personnage central. Aux côtés du patient, le thérapeute programme et suit entièrement la séance depuis sa tablette grâce à la plateforme de pilotage. Le paramétrage et la personnalisation des soins permet une rééducation sur mesure adaptée aux objectifs et aux capacités des patients de tout âge à partir de 12 ans.
Cette stimulation sensorielle encourage la motivation et conduit au dépassement de soi au quotidien. H’ability optimise la prise en charge du patient en s’inscrivant très simplement dans le programme de rééducation des professionnels de santé qui peuvent exploiter cette technologie à des fins thérapeutiques :

–          Rééduquer la fonction motrice du membre supérieur,

–          Travailler l’équilibre global et du tronc,

–          Améliorer les capacités cognitives (exploration visuelle, mémoire, concentration, etc.),

–          Diminuer les douleurs du patient et lutter contre la kinésiophobie,

–          Faciliter le transfert des acquis dans des environnements difficilement reproductibles en structure comme le supermarché,

Une technologie autonome, performante et ultra-légère
Embarquée et ultra-portable, H’ability ne nécessite pas d’installation fixe ni de salle dédiée. La solution peut être déployée et utilisée très facilement en structure médicale, plateau technique ou au domicile des patients. Très complémentaire avec les exercices de rééducation conventionnels, cet outil interactif hyper-adaptable fait la différence en s’affranchissant de tous capteurs et manettes afin d’être le plus léger possible et accessible à tous. Grâce à la technologie du « handtracking », le patient visualise ainsi des mains virtuelles, lesquelles reproduisent en temps réel les mouvements qu’il exécute.
Soutenue par de nombreux partenaires du secteur médical (le CHU d’Angers, les Capucins Angers, la fondation COS, l’ARS Grand Est) mais encore de l’univers startup (la Technopole de l’Aube, bpi France, la Banque Populaire, Scal Enov, la Fondation Sopra Steria, la Fondation d’entreprise Deloitte, le Réseau Entreprendre Champagne Ardenne) et par les collectivités (la Région Grand Est), la jeune entreprise a reçu en 2022 le prix Pépite des Pépites au VivaTech 2022.

Aujourd’hui, H’ability est déjà accessible dans 5 établissements de santé partenaires et a pour ambition de se développer dans toute la France et de pouvoir équiper les domiciles des patients afin d’assurer la continuité des soins.

Salon annuel des médecins MPR (Médecine Physique et de Réadaptation) de toutes pratiques, le congrès SOFMER se tiendra du 1er au 3 décembre 2022 au Couvent des Jacobins, à Rennes. Il engagera de nombreuses réflexions sur les thématiques de la rééducation, de la réadaptation et de la neuropsychologie au travers d’ateliers, de débats et de conférences entre professionnels du secteur. H’ability sera bien sûr présente à l’événement et disponible pour échanger.
